BPPV is a very funny condition why i m calling it a funny condition because i feel that it can’t be categories as disease.Let me explain this,it is caused by the entry of endolymph in the semicircular canals of ear which causes dizziness or vertigo on changing head positions.
Patient complaints of Vertigo on changing their head positions like while getting up or lying on bed, bending forwards to pickup something or looking upwards or sideways.This vertigo is of severe variety and last for few seconds and may cause vomiting and difficulty in walking or doing activities.patients are frightened of moving outwards or walking, they restrict themselves and even sit on bed whole night due to fear of vertigo while lying down.
This condition need clinical expertise to get diagnosed.No specific drug is their to treat it.
